Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model from 11 November 1996. She made her film debut as an actress and Bond model in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. There were also roles for Siobhan Dovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was invited by a photographer, who asked her to take on the role of model. Doody then began to build a career of commercial modelling. Doody was very determined not to do the glamorous work or doing nude. This rule extended into the acting profession. In 1985, after receiving notice from the directors who were casting an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was named one of 12 Promising New Actors of 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. At just 18 as she played the film, Doody was and is - the youngest Bond girl that has ever appeared. A different early film had her in a minor role as IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which featured Mickey Rourke. Doody played an unseen role as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias when she appeared in the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version from The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading character in the film Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she played as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathiser and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is a member of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Final Crusade. In the year 1991, Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publication fraud, also known as the Hitler Diaries. Then, she moved to Hollywood. She replaced Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson character. Then she played Flannery Sheen's wife and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. After a long absence from the screen Doody returned to acting with a small role in 2003 British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine playing herself in an awards ceremony scene. in 2004, Doody was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody filming a character in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. In the following year, she was a guest on RTE's the medical drama The Clinic. She was scheduled to also play the lead role in an adaptation in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. In 2014 she starred in We Still Kill the Old Way. In November 2018, she won the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award as well as a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
