Aisha Jamila Hinds is a well-known American actress. The actress is well known for her roles in the the TV show The Shield, and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003, she has shown her range in acting making outstanding appearances on TV programs like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. In 2005, she received attention initially for her role as Anna on Assault on Precinct 13 The film was her portrayal of Fannie Lou (a women's activist for rights) for the biographical All the Way film that made her famous as an actor. Hind's portrayal as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's historical drama Underground was equally praised. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The series has been renewed for a new season by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind recently wrapped up filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters and will release in the middle of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj, an Army Scientist who passed away on March 18 in 2017, as well as her mother Vrinda have both been homemakers. Aditya Rai, the elder brother, is an engineer in the merchant marine industry. Her brother co-wrote and wrote Dil Ka Rishta, along with his mother. Her family relocated to Mumbai and she enrolled at Arya Vidya Mandir. She completed her middle education through Jai Hind College for a period of time before enroling at D.G. Her acting career got off well with her highly praised performances in Iruvar (1997) and Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya (1997). The two films shattered the traditional form that was prevalent in Bollywood movies at the time, propelling Bachchan to the forefront of what is now known as the New Bollywood. Her heartbreaking portrayal of Paro, the woman who is cheated by during Devdas (2002) which was one of the most well-known Bollywood films at that time. Its premiere at Cannes Film Festival cemented her as a queen of Bollywood. Following that, she was praised for her role in the film Chokher (2003) which was a tense film based on the novel of Rabindranath Tagore. Also in 2003, she was the first Indian actress to join the Cannes Film Festival jury. Bachchan played as a character in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice a musical and dance adaptation from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan did a great job bringing her glamour and shine to her first major English language film. After releasing Provoked the - a True Story in English, she made a return to Bollywood and played the lead role in the blockbuster Dhoom: 2 (2007). In April 2007, she was married to Abhishek Bachchan a frequent co-star and the child of Bollywood legendary Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that brought two of the country's most famous personalities.
