Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 of 1985 at Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix was aware that she had a talent for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt, she placed among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. In 2003, Felix was a senior in high school signing a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas and then enrolled in the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. She set a Junior World Record by running 200 metres in 22.18 second. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest 200-meter world champion during the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007, beating her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her races.
